01 — OUR BEGINNING
Why We Started
For many people, everyday movement becomes difficult — because of age, injury, disability, or recovery from surgery. Getting out of bed, exercising a stiff shoulder, moving safely around the house, or simply managing daily patient care requires the right combination of support, comfort, and reliability.
AARAM was built around a simple belief: rehabilitation and patient-care products should solve real problems in real life, not just fill a catalogue.
Since 1998, AARAM has manufactured rehabilitation and orthopedic support products in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, with a focus on practical, everyday requirements rather than volume for its own sake. Rather than staying in one narrow category, we’ve built a portfolio spanning rope & pulley rehabilitation systems, orthopedic supports, customized wheelchairs, wheelchair parts, and mobility aids.
The objective has never been to manufacture another generic product and put it on a shelf. It’s to understand what a patient, caregiver, physiotherapist, or hospital actually needs — and build something that holds up to daily use.
That’s especially true in rehabilitation. Every recovery is different. Every body is different. Every environment a product is used in presents different demands. That’s why customization — not just standard catalogue items — has stayed central to how AARAM manufactures.
We started with a practical purpose: make rehabilitation, mobility, and patient care more accessible, through products designed to actually work for daily use — not just to look right in a product photo.

Today, our range includes rope & pulley rehabilitation systems, orthopedic support products — knee caps, ankle supports, elbow protectors, and back & abdomen belts — customized wheelchairs, wheelchair spare parts, walking sticks, and general surgical instruments.
This breadth reflects something we learned early: mobility isn’t about one wheelchair, and rehabilitation isn’t about one exercise product. People need different kinds of support at different stages of recovery and daily life. Someone starting physiotherapy might need a rope & pulley system. Someone managing joint pain might need a support belt. A wheelchair user might eventually need a replacement part, or a chair built to their exact measurements.
